Cancer-Focused Research
My research aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of immune cell mediated inflammation and the cellular relationships between the bone marrow microenvironment and malignant clones in myeloid blood malignancies. I will focus on two key areas: 1) Investigate how extrinsic factors associated with the bone marrow immune microenvironment impact hematopoietic cell function and promote disease progression in myeloid disorders. 2) Determine intrinsic factors that sustain inflammatory signaling in normal and malignant hematopoiesis.
