Cancer-Focused Research
My laboratory examines the cell and molecular biology of inflammation and its resolution, which are key disease contributing factors in the tumor microenvironment. Although most of our in vivo tests probe cardiovascular relevance, our new focus in cellular and systemic metabolism has direct links to the Warburg effect. We are also a highly collaborative group, routinely publishing with other Northwestern labs outside my primary appointment in Pathology. The mechanisms we study have strong cancer relevance.
